5000 SCHOOL KITS FOR THE POOR & WHEEL CHAIRS FOR THE DISABLED

On 3rd September, the Inauguaral function of distribution of 5000 free school kits to poor children was held at 10.00 a. m. at Santhome Indoor Auditorium, Santhome Higher Secondary School, Chennai. Dr. Paul Dhinakaran distributed 1000 free school kits to poor children, 5 tricycles and 5 motorized tricycles to 10 differently abled people, grants to 47 women self help groups functioning at Vanagaram and gym materials to youth groups. 1000 children and 600 women and youth took part in this occasion. A new project for the development of the community in Vanagram and Kaattupakkam panchayats of Thiruvallur District in collaboration with “Habitat for Humanity” was launched in this function.

Dr. Paul Dhinakaran’ s birthday is on 4th September. He shared his happiness with the poor children by cutting the cake along with them.

Mr. Shaun Wedick, Consul & Senior Trade Commissioner, The Consulate of Canada was the Guest of Honour for this function. Rev. Fr. Stanley Sebastian, Superintendent of Catholic Schools prayed for inaugurate the function. Dr. Jeyakumar Daniel, Executive Director of Seesha, welcomed the guest, participants and the beneficiaries.
