Testimonies from beneficiaries:-

“I’m Mrs. Angelina Thomas. 73 Years of age from Pondicherry staying in this home for the last six months. I convey my sincere thanks to SEESHA for rendering their support to old age people like me. I have been enjoying the facilities in this home and honestly standing as a witness before everyone. My husband Mr. Thomas worked in State Bank of India. We lived happily with the Grace of God. We were blessed with two sons and two daughters. They are well settled and now have forgotten their care towards me.

Soon after my husband’s death I had to undergo very difficult time. There were times that I used to cry all alone. Often a question in my mind had raised about my existence on this earth, though I had children around. My elder son used to take care of me. But I did not get any importance in the family. They all thought that I am a burden to them especially my daughter in law. Even the house maid did not respect me. I could not express my agony to anyone except to God in silence. I was praying to God to show me a way to lead rest of my life in total peaceful manner. I have read about SEESHA OLD AGE CARE HOME AT KARUNYA, immediately I contacted. The in-charge person gave heed to my background and admitted me into the Old Age Home.

I have been suffering from cataract in both the eyes. I had been asking from my children to get it operated so that I can see better. But everyone was deaf towards my need and did not take any effort to remove the cataract. I had blurred eye sight from 2005. After I joined this home I requested the authorities to help me in some medical support. Unfortunately, my sugar and BP was not normal. The staff was constantly monitoring and took me to the Eye hospital and both my eyes were operated on 27th March 2012.

Now I am able to see very clearly without spectacles. Seesha has helped me to get my eye sight back. The staff looked after me more than my own children. The Manager has great concern and has been very supportive to me all along. I do not have words to express my gratitude to the staff and the Manager of this home. Had I been in my house, perhaps I would have lost my eye sight due to my children’s negligence. With great joy I am ready to go to my home and stand as a witness to my children that Seesha has given me eye sight.

I am thankful to God for all His blessings that he has showered and according to his promise he is taking care of me at my old age through SEESHA. According to Isaiah 46:4 you have promised that Even at our old age you will sustain us, carry us and rescue us.”

Now SEESHA is planning to build a New Old Age Care Home / Retirement Village which can accommodate 300 elderly persons. Out of this 200 people from the economically weaker and less privileged section will be accommodated and cared free of cost. A foundation stone was laid for the new 150 bedded hospital and the new Old Age Care Home / Retirement Village by Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, Founder of SEESHA along with the Member of the Parliament Shri. J. D. Seelam on 21st August 2011. The project will be completed in two years.
