Monthly Educational Scholarship Program by SEESHA identifies and assists impoverished children living in extreme poverty who cannot afford the cost of education to continue their studies. About 232 poor students are given monthly scholarships which would help them to meet their day to day expenses for their studies. Apart from this, special educational assistance is given every month to tribal children in Laharisarai, Dharbanaga, Bihar state.

Dinesh Khanna -
“I am the only son of my parents. My father was a driver. Four years before he died in a road accident. Even our family came to know about that news through News paper only. After his death, our family income was totally dropped.

My mother also a sick patient and not able to go for regular job. At this terrible situation I was forced to go for job and to discontinue my education. But I was very much interested in studies. Our family income status put no hope for my education. Even at that juncture, I studied very hard but I was not able to fetch good marks in exams, due to my poor hand writing. My class teacher guided me to go for handwriting coaching class. But I was not in a position to pay monthly fees for that class. At this time I came to known about SEESHA through Jesus calls magazine at our neighbour`s home and it gave the information about Seesha that they are supporting financially several poor students through their monthly scholarships. Immediately applied for the same. Now I am also a beneficiary of Seesha since 2007, which gave hope in life and I have also joined the hand writing coaching class. Then, my hand writing was improved and I scored good marks. I have utilizing the Seesha scholarships for buying needed books for my exams. During my past days I was not in a position to pay for map book or note books or any of study material in class. I praise God and wholeheartedly thank Dr. Paul Dhinakaran and SEESHA for their humanitarian help which has transformed my life and given me a new hope. Now I have completed my XII std successfully”.
