The inaugural function of the distribution of 20,000 new dresses to poor children in India was held on the 18th Decemberat 3.00 p.m. at the Indoor Auditorium of Madras Christian College Higher Secondary School, Chennai.

Ms. Marie – Claude Mallet, Vice Consul & Trade Commissioner, The Consulate of Canada was the Guest of Honour for this function. Dr. Paul Dhinakaran&his familyalong with the Guest of Honour distributed 1000 free dresses to poor children, new sarees to the poor and destitute women and a wedding saree to a woman who is going to get married.

Apart from this, specially designed tricycles and motor bikes were distributed to 10 differently abled people and 14 sewing machines were distributed to the women who have completed the tailoring course from Seesha Tailoring Unit. There were 1000 children who took part in this occasion and received the new dresses from the Founder’s family and from the Guest of Honour.

Dr. Paul Dhinakaran and his family shared the joyof Christmas with the poor children by cutting the cake along with them. Ms. Sharon Paul Dhinakaran prayed for the Lord’s Blessings to be upon the children. The students from Seesha Tuition Centre performed a skit.

Dr. Manohar, Principal of MCC Higher Secondary School and many well-wishers of Seesha were present at the function. Dr. Jeyakumar Daniel, Executive Director of Seesha, welcomed the guest, participants and the beneficiaries.
